預約是 appointment，沒有預約直接上門的客人叫 walk-in。
要別人幫你剪，動詞用 get a haircut、get my hair cut 或 have my hair cut；I want to cut my hair 是你自己動手剪。

trim 是修掉一小段、髮型不變。這個字本身不帶長度，剪多少由設計師判斷，所以要自己補上數字或落點。

落點的英文是 fall，說 I want it to fall right about here，同時用手比出位置。美國和加拿大用英寸，一英寸大約 2.5 公分。

用法提醒｜trim 和 take off
trim 當名詞要加冠詞，說 a trim 或 Just a trim，不說 I want trim；當動詞是 trim my bangs。

瀏海的美式說法是 bangs，固定複數。英國、澳洲、紐西蘭說 fringe，本集採美式。

單元五｜tip 怎麼說
小費的名詞和動詞都是 tip。名詞搭配 leave：leave a tip、leave a twenty percent tip。動詞直接接人：I tipped her twenty percent，不說 I tipped twenty percent to her。
金額上，美國和加拿大給 15% 到 20%，英國 10% 到 15%，澳洲和紐西蘭不用給。
