深陷性侵指控 原民藝術家威尼斯雙年展資格取消 Indigenous artist no longer represents Taiwan at 2022 Venice Biennale

　
Due to sexual assault allegations against him, Indigenous artist Sakuliu Pavavaljung will no longer represent Taiwan at the 59th Venice Biennale in 2022.

The Taipei Fine Arts Museum, which is organizing the Taiwan Pavilion at the event, said the decision was made after allegations of sexual violence against the artist had raised questions about his suitability to represent Taiwan. However, the museum denies the assumption that Taiwan will withdraw from the event.

The Pingtung District Prosecutors Office launched an investigation recently into accusations against Pavavaljung that claimed he had sexually assaulted a female teenage fan.
