Google plans to spend $2.1 billion on Manhattan office building to expand its office presence in New York City. the new office will house about 12,000 regional workforce and is scheduled to open in mid-2023.
The deal is the most expensive sale of a single US office building since the pandemic, while it comes as the company embraces a hybrid work model.
Google said that in-person collaboration is an “important part of our future,” though Google has postponed a full return to the office until 2022 and gives its employees the option of permanently working from anywhere if their role allows.
Many tech companies, including Amazon, Facebook, and Apple, have been expanding their office facilities recently.
His work is an interesting hybrid of popular and classical music.
