Virtual business cards become common during the pandemic

Do you remember the last time you handed over a paper business card?

Before the pandemic, more than 7 billion business cards were printed each year; however, sales of business cards plummeted as people have been unable to return to face-to-face interaction.

Instead, virtual business cards have become increasingly common. The person you meet simply scans the code on your screen for your details to appear on their device.

Some people point out that this contactless system will stay in place even after pandemic ends. Others argue that paper business cards are more of a ritual, especially in Asian countries such as South Korea and Japan.
