KFC will open a temporary chicken-themed hotel, House of Harland, in London on August 18, named after its founder and brand mascot, Colonel Harland Sanders. The pop-up hotel will only run for 11 nights as a nod to the 11 herbs and spices in Sanders’ original recipe.
A luxurious Cadillac called“Colonelmobile” will fetch guests who have successfully made reservations, and then a “chick-in” clerk will greet them at the hotel. Guests will see the room decorated with “delicious details,” such as fried chicken motifs on towels and beddings. Additionally, a “press for chicken” button allows them to order room service and enjoy KFC fried chicken in no time.
Revenue from the pop-up will go to the KFC Foundation to support youth organizations.
