What’s the difference between reading on papers and on screens?

Do you prefer to read on papers or on screens?

Reading allows our brain to make new connections between visual, language and emotional regions. This skill doesn’t exist in our minds, which is why everyone needs to learn how to read.

What’s the difference between reading on papers and on screens? When you’re reading papers, your brain goes into a meditative state. It is a physical process which slows your heartbeat and calms you down.

However, when you’re reading on screens, you’re just getting information. The very large amount of information has a negative effect on our brains. If we need to absorb that much, our brain has a propensity towards skimming.

I got his letter, but I only skimmed through it.
