進會議：卡在等候室
很多公司的會議會開等候室，要等主持人按下 Admit 才進得去。等了一陣子還沒被放進去，可以傳訊息或打電話請主持人讓你進會議。
admit 讓（等候室的人）進入會議
| I've been in the waiting room for a few minutes. Could you admit me? | 我在等候室等了幾分鐘，可以讓我進去嗎？ |
| The host has to admit everyone before the meeting can start. | 主持人要先讓大家進來，會議才能開始。 |
用 Teams 開會時等候室叫 lobby，可以說 I'm still in the lobby.
主持人可能這樣回
Sorry about that, I'm letting you in now.
不好意思，現在讓你進來。
聲音：靜音、斷斷續續、回音
對方嘴巴在動卻沒有聲音，多半是忘了取消靜音，可以直接提醒他。
mute 靜音（on mute 處於靜音狀態）

對方可能這樣回

糟糕，現在聽得到嗎？
聽得到聲音，但一句話只聽到一半，可以請對方再說一次。
break up （因訊號不好）聲音斷斷續續

會議裡一直聽到自己講話的回音，通常是有人開著麥克風又用喇叭放聲音，可以請沒在講話的人先靜音。
echo 回音

講完話要過一兩秒對方才聽到，兩個人很容易同時開口，可以先跟對方說有延遲。

網路斷了、整個人掉出會議，或聲音一直回不來，可以退出再重新進會議。
rejoin 重新加入（會議）

offline 跟網路無關
take something offline 的 offline 指的是「這場會議以外」。實體會議也會這樣說，意思是會後找相關的人另外談。
想說「你的聲音不清楚」時
很多人會說 Your voice is not clear。對方聽得懂，但線上會議裡聲音斷斷續續，母語者習慣說 You're breaking up. 或 You're cutting out.
想說「網路很 lag」時
很多人會說 My internet is so lag，把 lag 當形容詞用。lag 是名詞或動詞，可以說 My connection is lagging.；形容詞是 laggy，口語說 My connection is laggy.

你跟主管 Kevin 和幾位國外同事開線上會議，從 Kevin 忘了取消靜音，到最後把預算問題改到會後再談。
你：Hi Kevin, I think you're still on mute.
