中秋節與教師節連放四天，不少人趁這四天出國。訂機票、訂飯店、臨時要改行程，這些事在國外訂票網站和航空公司客服那邊都是英文。這一集照訂票的順序走：網頁上顯示票沒了、按下訂之前看取消條款、改期、改期要付的錢、退款。

Booking flights and hotels on overseas sites, and changing a booking afterwards, both happen in English. This episode follows the order you run into them: tickets gone, cancellation terms, rescheduling, what a change costs, and getting your money back.

單元一｜訂票網頁上顯示票沒了

在國外訂票網站上，sold out 和 fully booked 都在講東西沒了。機票、演唱會票、景點門票賣完寫 sold out；飯店某幾天查不到房型可選，頁面上寫 fully booked。這兩個字用在班次和房間上常常互換。

fully booked 另外還能講人的行程滿檔，sold out 不行。跟國外同事約時間的時候，說 I’m fully booked next week 就是下週排滿了。

單元二｜按下訂之前先看取消條款

同一間飯店同一個房型，訂房網站上常常並排兩個價錢。free cancellation 是可以在期限前免費取消、全額退款，期限多半是入住前 24 到 48 小時。

non-refundable 的價錢通常便宜一成到兩成，訂的時候就扣款，之後取消不退錢。

期限和罰則是每一家飯店自己訂的，同一個城市的兩間飯店可以完全不一樣。要看的是房型下面那一行 cancellation policy。

用法辨析｜free cancellation 和 non-refundable

訂房網站上並排的兩種價錢。
free cancellation ＝期限前取消全額退款，期限過了飯店可以收一晚或全額
non-refundable ＝訂的時候就扣款，取消不退錢，價錢通常便宜一成到兩成

Does this rate come with free cancellation?	這個價錢可以免費取消嗎？
The cheaper rate is non-refundable.	便宜那個價錢不能退。
What’s the cancellation policy?	取消條款是什麼？

單元三｜改期，先找訂位代號

訂完會收到一封確認信，裡面有一組六個字母數字的代號。打客服或線上 chat 的時候，對方要先問這一組才查得到你的訂單。

這組代號各家的叫法不一樣。英國的航空公司寫 booking reference，美國的寫 confirmation number 或 record locator，訂票網站寫 reservation code，指的都是同一組六個字。哪個字都可以講。

想改日期，跟客服說 reschedule。reschedule、rebook、change my booking 這三種說法在客服對話裡通用。差別只在誰改的：航空公司自己調整班表、把你移到別的班次，他們用 rebook 講這件事。

跟客服這樣說

My booking reference is HK4T2L.	我的訂位代號是 HK4T2L。
I’d like to reschedule my flight to Friday.	我想把班機改到星期五。
Can I change my booking to the 26th?	可以幫我改到 26 號嗎？
I booked the wrong date.	我訂錯日期了。
Can you check what’s available that week?	可以幫我看那一週還有什麼嗎？

單元四｜改期要付的錢

change fee 是改票這個動作本身收的手續費，票種決定收多少，跟新票價無關。美國國內線的經濟艙從 2020 年起多數取消這筆費用，國際線和廉航還是可能要收。

fare difference 是新班次票價比原本那張高的價差。原本那張比較貴的話，通常不退回差額。

這兩筆分開算，可能只收一筆，也可能兩筆都收。線上 chat 的時候可以請客服分別報這兩筆各是多少。

用法辨析｜change fee 和 fare difference

這是兩筆分開的錢。
change fee ＝改票的手續費，票種決定收多少，跟新票價無關
fare difference ＝新票價減掉原票價的價差，原票比較貴通常不退回
同一次改期可能只收其中一筆，也可能兩筆都收。

Is there a change fee?	要收改票手續費嗎？
Do I have to pay the fare difference?	我要補票價差額嗎？
How much is it in total to move to Friday?	改到星期五總共要多少錢？

單元五｜退款

refund 是把錢退回原本刷的那張卡。信用卡的帳通常要等幾個工作日才看得到。

有些航空公司退的是只能買他們家機票的旅行金。跟客服確認退回來的是哪一種。

跟客服這樣說

Can I get a refund?	可以退錢嗎？
Will the refund go back to my credit card?	錢會退回我的信用卡嗎？
Is it a refund or travel credit?	退的是現金還是旅行金？
How long does the refund take?	退款要多久？
I cancelled before the deadline.	我在期限前就取消了。
