如何用英文做一場漂亮的「年度回顧」？

又到了年底，無論是為了職場上的績效考核 (Performance Review)，還是為了自己的個人手帳 (Personal Journal)，「回顧」都是 12 月最重要的儀式。

很多人在用英文描述這一年時，只會說 “I did a good job” 或 “It was a busy year”。其實，只要掌握幾個關鍵的單字和句型，你的年度回顧就能聽起來更有條理、更具說服力！

描述成就的「強力動詞」

1. Spearheaded (帶領、主導)

當你是某個專案的發起人或負責人時使用。

• Meaning: To lead a project or initiative.
• Example:
  • “I spearheaded the new AI-integration project, which increased efficiency by 20%.”
    我主導了新的 AI 整合專案，提升了 20% 的效率。

2. Optimized (優化)

用來描述你改善了既有的流程，使其更好、更快。

• Meaning: To make something as effective as possible.
• Example:
  • “I optimized our content strategy to reach a wider audience.”
    我優化了我們的內容策略，以觸及更廣的受眾。

3. Overcame (克服)

年度回顧不只講好事，提到如何解決困難也是重點。

• Meaning: To succeed in dealing with a problem or difficulty.
• Example:
  • “We overcame several technical challenges during the launch phase.”
    在發佈階段，我們克服了數個技術挑戰。

談論挑戰與不足 (Discussing Areas for Improvement)

1. Room for improvement (進步空間)

這比直接說 “I failed” 或 “I was bad at…” 聽起來專業且客觀得多。

• Example:
  • “While sales were good, there is still room for improvement in customer retention.”
    雖然銷售額不錯，但在客戶留存率方面仍有進步空間。

2. A steep learning curve (陡峭的學習曲線 / 上手不易)

形容剛接手新任務時，需要學很多東西、很有挑戰性。

• Example:
  • “The new software had a steep learning curve, but I’ve now mastered the basics.”
    這套新軟體上手不易，但我現在已經掌握了基礎。

3. Constructive feedback (建設性的回饋)

提到你如何應對批評。

• Example:
  • “I actively sought constructive feedback from my manager to improve my presentation skills.”
    我主動向經理尋求建設性的回饋，以增進我的簡報技巧。

如果不知道從何寫起，國外非常流行用 “Start, Stop, Continue” 這個架構來做 Review。

1. Start (開始做…)

明年想要嘗試的新事物。

• “In 2026, I plan to start learning a third language.”
  2026 年，我計畫開始學習第三外語。

2. Stop (停止做…)

今年發現無效、浪費時間，明年決定要戒除的壞習慣。

• “I need to stop procrastinating on difficult tasks.”
  我必須停止對困難任務的拖延。

3. Continue (繼續做…)

今年成效很好，明年要保持下去的事。

• “I will continue to set aside 30 minutes for reading every morning.”
  我會繼續保持每天早上閱讀 30 分鐘的習慣。
