The Tokyo 2020 Olympics were postponed to 2021. As the pandemic still rages on, the upcoming Tokyo Olympics will be closed to foreign visitors to lower the risks of the coronavirus.
At first, the Japanese government had hoped to welcome around 1 million spectators to the games. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic still spreading around the world, officials decided to close the event to international guests.
