If you order wine at a fine dining restaurant, they will first pour a tiny bit into your glass. You should immediately take a drink of it and nod your head yes if the wine tastes ok. Presumably it will be unlikely that you won’t approve of the wine. After you approve, they will fill everyone’s wine glasses halfway.
