Beware of Fake Job Listings This Graduation Season: TutorABC Takes Legal Action Over Impersonated Recruitment Posts

TutorABC warns job seekers about fake recruitment posts impersonating the company on social media

[Taipei, August 4, 2026] The period from June to August is when new graduates in Taiwan submit the greatest number of applications, and also when fraudulent recruitment messages are most active. A number of posts impersonating TutorABC have recently appeared on the social platform Threads, offering a monthly base salary of NT$70,000, uncapped bonuses and an internal referral with a recommendation letter, and directing job seekers to add a private LINE account for further contact.

TutorABC completed its initial evidence gathering on 31 July and confirmed that the accounts concerned are not company employees and hold no authorisation from the company. TutorABC, a leading global online education brand, has today issued a formal statement and has taken legal action over the impersonation of its company name and the circulation of false recruitment information. Job seekers are reminded that all genuine openings are published exclusively on the company page on 104 Job Bank.

Official Statement: Fraud Warning on Recruitment Posts Impersonating TutorABC

Several accounts on Threads have recently published high-salary job listings under the TutorABC name, using claims such as internal employee referral and I can refer you to lead the public into adding unidentified LINE accounts. TutorABC states the following.

1. These accounts have no connection to the company.

The accounts described above are not TutorABC employees and hold no authorisation from the company. TutorABC has never engaged any individual or third party to promote vacancies or make internal referrals through personal social media or personal LINE accounts.

2. The company has one recruitment channel only.

All vacancies are published on the TutorABC company page on 104 Job Bank, and applications must be submitted through 104. Human resources contact is made exclusively from the company email domain (@tutorabc.com). Interviews are never arranged, and documents are never collected, through a personal LINE account.

3. What the company will never do.

  • Never collect fees of any kind, including deposits, materials fees, registration fees or agency fees.
  • Never request bank account details, ATM cards, online banking credentials or verification codes.
  • Never ask applicants to download applications from unidentified sources, or to enter personal data on non-official websites.
  • Never require an investment, a prepayment or the completion of paid tasks before offering work.

4. Legal action has been taken.

TutorABC has completed evidence gathering on the posts concerned and has filed reports and account removal requests with the platform. The company has taken legal action over the impersonation of its name and trademark and the circulation of false recruitment information, is pursuing both civil and criminal liability, and will cooperate fully with prosecutors and police throughout the investigation.

5. If you have already been contacted.

Stop communicating with the account immediately. Do not provide any personal information and do not transfer funds. Keep complete screenshots of the conversation and call the 165 anti-fraud helpline.

Job seekers are urged to proceed with care. Anyone interested in joining the company should go directly to the 104 corporate page to view genuine openings. TutorABC thanks everyone who has contacted the company to verify these messages, and will continue to protect both the brand and the interests of job seekers.
