TutorABC Business and TSMC Charity Foundation Deliver Real-World English Training Programme

Taipei, Taiwan 2026/03/26 — TutorABC Business, in partnership with the TSMC Charity Foundation, has successfully completed a targeted English training programme for students at National Taitung Junior College, resulting in a 100% pass rate in all-English job interviews conducted by the Sheraton Taitung Hotel.

The programme was designed to provide practical, industry-focused English training for students in rural Taiwan, equipping them with the communication skills required to enter the international hospitality industry. The initiative combined online learning, interview coaching, and real-world speaking practice, demonstrating how focused language training can directly translate into career opportunities.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment by TutorABC Business and the TSMC Charity Foundation to promote educational equality, workforce readiness, and regional development through practical learning programmes.

Samuel Yang, CEO of TutorABC, said:

“We believe education should create real opportunities. By working together with the TSMC Charity Foundation, we were able to provide students in Taitung with practical English skills they can use immediately in the workplace. Seeing every student pass their interview shows what can be achieved when training is focused on real-world outcomes.”

Training Designed for Real Jobs, Not Just Exams

Unlike traditional classroom learning, the programme focused on real communication skills required in the hospitality industry, including guest interaction, service dialogue, and interview preparation.

The training programme included:

·         Industry-specific English lessons designed for hotel and customer-service environments

·         Live online classes with professional instructors to develop speaking fluency

·         Simulated English interviews based on real hiring situations

·         Flexible online learning, allowing students in remote areas to access the same training as major cities

By focusing on practical usage rather than academic theory alone, students were able to quickly build confidence and perform successfully in real interview settings.

From Rural Classroom to International Hotel

After completing the training, students participated in formal English interviews with the Sheraton Taitung Hotel. All participating students passed the interview stage and received internship or employment offers, marking a significant milestone for both the students and the programme.

Sheraton Taitung Hotel, said:

“We were impressed by the students’ confidence and communication ability during the interviews. The training clearly prepared them for real service situations, and we are pleased to welcome them to the Sheraton team.”

Students also noted that the programme helped them overcome fear of speaking English and feel ready to work in an international environment.

One student commented:

“Before the course, I was afraid to speak English. After practicing real conversations and interviews, I became much more confident. Passing the interview made me believe I can work in a global company.”

A Model for Education, Industry, and Charity Working Together

The programme highlights how collaboration between education providers, corporate partners, and charitable organizations can create meaningful opportunities for young people, particularly in regions with fewer resources.

Through the use of AI-powered online learning, personalized instruction, and real-world training scenarios, TutorABC Business continues to develop programmes that connect education directly to employment outcomes.

TutorABC and the TSMC Charity Foundation plan to expand similar initiatives in the future, helping more students across Taiwan gain the skills needed to succeed in an increasingly international workplace.
